Gustav Klimt

She is sitting on the couch.

Biting her lips.

Plumped and sweet like a peach.

It's dark all around her, it's night.

The blackout curtains are blocking the light.

Her long brown hair it's falling from her shoulder.

Once again life has turned her down.

Another bad turnover.

If she had a dime.

For those who wasted her time.

She would be a billionaire.

Instead of grasping for air.

For a while, she did fake it.

Because all she wanted in life was to make it.

Going down. Going down.

Her big green eyes are looking for meaning.

All around seems so deceiving.

Then she starts wondering.

Drifting.

Hanging like Gustav Klimt on her wall.

Will you catch me if I fall?

Will you hold me tight?

On those darkest of nights?

On my knees like the long red-haired lady.

Bare naked.

Surrounded only by too many maybe.

"I need you to love me, baby".

And if you say no.

Well, it's time for you to go.

I'm falling.

I'm falling.

Break my fall.

Catch my hand and all will get better.

Better, so much better.

Everybody needs somebody.

Everybody wants somebody.

Hold me tight and don't let go.

Hug me tightly, I don't want you to go.

Let's make this work.

I'm sorry for throwing that fork.

I'll try hard not to blame you.

But we both know who did what and to who.

For what it's worth.

I will run as far as I can, faster than a racehorse.

She hears the clock, thinking.

She keeps thinking.

She sees the light peeking in.

Let's go back to the beginning.

Let's forget, let's get forgiving.

Her mind is made up.

All she knew it was about to blow up.

She can open the curtains.

She is fine now this is for certain.

She is covered in gold.

Her smile isn't on hold.

She pulls her hair in a ponytail.

Her life is going to be a fairytale.
